In this video, the narrator talks about some of the misconceptions that exist in regard SSRI and SNRI (antidepressant) - like MOAI, and TCA classes as well - withdrawal. We propose a theory consistent with Dr. David Healy that unlike typical drug withdrawal that is related to receptor up and down regulation - antidepressants and antipsycotic medications are actually neurotoxic and cause long lasting damage to neurons in some fraction of those who consume these drugs for more than a couple of weeks.
