Depression and anxiety are two things that I have dealt with for most of my (almost) 22 years. However, after many tries, I found the right antidepressant for me....Zoloft! Comment below if you have ever used Zoloft [Sertraline] and let me know how it affected you.
The first time I took it it felt like Ecstasy and I had so much energy. And it kept feeling like it. Indicating that my serotonine isn't working correctly. But had to Stop taking it because I had a schizophrenic episode and had to take risperidone, :(
Anti depressants ruined my relationship of 4 years, you all are on drugs, figure it out. You sound like a bunch of crack heads, what a joke. My gf lost all her emotions, she stopped caring about her passions, it’s like invasion of the body snatchers. Get off the drugs, you are on drugs
Not gonna lie i took this zoloft crap before and it ruined and i mean ruined my libido, had noooo libido for probably a year actually it was pretty messed up and there are other people who took it and they never got there libido back, scary, luckily im perfectly fine now zero problems but still something you want to look out for not even just for men but women to, its said that it block dopamine pathways or something like that and can be permanent so look out.
+Johnnie June It is so horrible, i had to pick either to feel better or to have ZERO libido LOL for real and i did feel better on the zoloft but then i had to get off as it started to have no effect on me, but as i have seen with others who have done the others such as prozac and lexapro, they sometimes have permanent damage so its to hard to either pick to feel better or to risk damage, fucking horrible, must be another way, have you ever tried l tryptophan or l tyrosine., tryptophan is a natural serotonin booster and tyrosine is a natural dopamine booster
My 15yr old daughter was hospitalized for trying to take her own life on Halloween. They diagnosed her with PTSD, MDD and Anxiety. She was sexually assulted the 3rd day of school this year, (Sept 1st or 2nd) and was really struggling with that. She dropped out of school because going gave her so much anxiety that she just couldn't handle it. She was put on Zoloft and has been taking it on and off since 11/1 (she refused to take it a few times- she thought she "didn't need it" and stopped taking it. I'm really hopeful she will stay on it and it can help her, I hate seeing her struggle. 😰😰 I really hope she can get happy like you! I miss seeing her smile.
I’m SO, SO sorry to hear about your daughter and what she has to struggle with. Not only that, but feeling helpless as a parent. I’m so sorry. One thing I want to say is make sure, NO MATTER WHAT, that she doesn’t just stop taking Zoloft. She will have withdrawals and her life will become much harder. Try to stay positive with her and just listen to what she has to say. Keep her motivated every day as best as you can!
Good luck to both of you guys!! :) I can guarantee you that it won't change you. It's not that powerful. Just take it slow with your dosage and just remember that it takes about a month to start feeling positive side effects!
I wake up in the morning crippled by fear. I'm worried sick about the stress of my job & I imagine the worst case scenario with every situation (catastrophising). I'm so tired & yet I can't sleep because I'm so damn worried. I'm starting Zoloft today...hope it helps.
I have an anxiety problem from last 3 months i m on cipralex 10mg right now is this medicine effects on women periods or hormonal changes in women dizziness is one of the shittest part of anxiety i m actually hating this phase of life please reply me
I am on my 1st week with zoloft 25 mg . it improved my heart rate and improved my anxiety but get insomnia side effect ,so I take sleeping pill with zoloft . take Zoloft at morning and mirtazapine or quetiapine at night before sleep.
I’m on day 4. I’m taking it for social anxiety because I’ve allowed it to cripple me all my life. I’m 23 years old and I’ve never had a job or a girlfriend because it’s that extreme. I dropped out of college too because I just couldn’t handle the social environment, the presentations, and getting called on randomly. I’ve tried dieting and weight training to see if it would cure me because I figured if I look good then the anxiety would go away. I was totally wrong. I lost 30 pounds and put on plenty of muscle and I finally like what I see in the mirror. But it hasn’t helped me in social situations at all... I just want a job, a girlfriend, and a college degree. I want to be successful but this disorder is a nightmare. I really really hope the Zoloft works. Might try counseling as well
I started 2 days ago, I've noticed the pill makes me tired which is probably why the doctor told me to take it at bed time. It could have been just fatigue from a long day as well.
A friend of mine was complaining about low sex drive as well, he was on 100 mg per day of zoloft. He stopped taking it cold turkey and had some minor withdrawal symptoms that lasted about a week (nothing serious), but his sex drive returned 100%.
After working with his doctor, they decided to put him back on zoloft and added wellbutrin to mitigate some of the side effects. He has been taking this combo ever since and no complaints whatsoever.
Hope everything is going to work well for you and myself.
The Zoloft has definitely helped me a lot. I’ve been able to reconnect with old friends and family, go places alone, talk to people on the phone, go out in public with friends, (I went to a crowded bar last night and I wasn’t terrified!) talking to strangers has been much easier, I worry less about my appearance, and I no longer constantly have a fear of dying in some horrible accident whenever I travel. I feel like I can finally breath.
Some things I’ve noticed:
Although I no longer have major anxiety when talking to people, I still don’t have the social skills to hold conversations very well because I’m so out of practice. So there are still “awkward silences” sometimes, but they’re just not awkward anymore.
Another thing I’ve noticed is it’s still possible to have anxiety in my head, but the physical symptoms have completely gone away. So while my brain can still sometimes try its hardest to freak out, I no longer get painful butterflies in my stomach, I no longer stutter and tremble and sweat, my heart rate no longer beats out of my chest. I no longer have trouble sleeping or bite my nails. The physical symptoms that kept me from living my life are gone. I still don’t have a job but after the holidays I think I’m finally ready to get one.
So far the only side effect I’ve had is a low sex drive. Like... extremely low. And that hasn’t gone away the entire 3 months I’ve been taking the Zoloft. My doctor tells me that it will come back whenever I stop taking it so I hope he’s right.
I just started Zoloft last week, and today is the day that I'm to double my dose. So far I've noticed a bit of extra happiness even this early, which was unexpected. I've had dry mouth and nausia, which are no problem for me. The diahrea was not fun, and yesterday I had to skip the gym because I just wasn't feeling well. here's hoping the next few weeks won't be terrible and I can get on to the benefits soon!
Once you have been on it for a while you won’t like this anymore. Not trying to be negative at all but I relate to a lot of things you say and I just don’t want you to feel let down. It helped me a lot at first but after being on it for 3 years I have gained nearly 20 pounds (with a good diet and exercise) and can’t lose it at all. Now I am very even all the time, not a lot of highs. I am exhausted all the time and do not feel motivated to do anything.
Wow I was prescribed antidepressants 8 years ago when I really hit rock bottom in high school with my depression but the pharmacists giving us instructions and notice of the side effects scared my mother and I we decided to let it go. Now I’m going back to my doctor to see if I can get it. It makes me think how effectively I could have been using the past few years instead of constantly hiding out in my bed and missing classes. But at least there’s always always tomorrow and the effects your subscribers are commenting and you’re saying are exactly what I need with my anxiety and depression.
Your positive attitude is great and will really help to push you forward. I’m so sorry it’s so bad you have to take medication :( but I get it and am really happy to hear you have the support of your family
That's the worst thing I hate about SA is the paranoia about how others percieve you and its always that they are judging you it goes back to when I was bullied at school never developed proper confidence ..
+Johnnie June it's a rare reaction to SSRI's that some people can have. Too much serotonin collects in areas of the brain. It leads to over heating, vomiting etc. It can lead to death. I'm actually glad that they didn't work out for me. I'm actually feeling so much better off all meds. Well done for coming off it! Are you off all medications now or are you on a different one?
+Johnnie June hey :) sorry that I didn't respond sooner. Sertraline didnt really work out for me. I had a bad reaction to it. It gave me serotonin syndrome. It is a rare reaction but it does occasionally happen. I still have anxiety issues but they are nowhere near as bad as they were. Are you still on sertraline? I'm actually a mental health nurse in my final year of studying. If you ever want to chat about stuff please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I'm always open to chatting to new people :) best of luck with the future x
Pretty much the same experience here. Been letting shit go, im motivated, started a internet business, I wake up on the right side of the bed etc. I feel great and I love that you burped lol. Keep feeling good 💪👊👍

Zoloft was what made many people commit mass shootings. Look it up. Tons of those mass shooters were on Zoloft for only days and did that. They were on Zoloft for common illnesses: adhd, depression, anxiety, etc.
zoloft has help alot....I have major anxiety and depression and kept having panic attacks...when I was introduced to it...I felt like a million bucks...it also prevents me from killing someone to😉
I give zoloft an A+
down side it kills your sex drive and causes weight gain.
I am on sertraline for 4 months (2 months 50mg 2 months 100mg) I had really horrible anxiety attacks i'd constantly overthink everything and panic over small things. Well after being on drugs for 2 months everything got worse i couldnt eat sleep and i was shaking all the time i had almost every side effect written but now i am happier than ever i can control my thoughts and it is really cool side effects cooled down a lot. Also i couldnt feel anything couldnt cry for 2 months but now i can cry and i am not emotionally numb anymore. Ofc medication isnt always the solution your mind is the one who shoukd take control and get you out of anxiety. I am planning to quit using it after i am fully recovered so i hope everyone suffering from mental illnesses get better 🌹

How you doing now ? I m coming down from Mirtazopine (Rameron) because I DO NOT like that it makes me want to eat ALL THE TIME. I could not focus because I think TOO MUCH about foods. I told my Dr. and she wants me to change to zoloft. I have depression due to INSOMNIA. And I really hope zoloft can give me lights. I feel much better after watching your video. KEEP HAPPY AND STRONG!
Mirtazopine is mostly prescribe for insomnia + depression, it reduces the stress hormone - cortisol. It also prescribesfor people with anorexia that is why it can make ppl LOVES to eat. Today will be my last day taking Mirtazopie and tomorrow will be my first day taking zoloft. I am joining the "club of Zoloft" =), wish me luck! I am glad that you found the best happy pill!
Zoloft just made me numb, no highs, no lows. I quit cold turkey after three days and got on Tryptophan and B-6 despite the instructions of my quack psychiatrist (who NEVER prescribed it, just showed me a sheet with a bunch of medications).
Nope. After Zoloft, I went online and researched how it was possible to get your body to produce more serotonin naturally. The results came back that it was possible to naturally increase serotonin by combining Vitamin B6 and L-Tryptophan. My daily supplement now includes 1000mg of L-Tryptophan along with my multi (which has B6 in it). The results have been great!
Antidepressants are medications that can help relieve symptoms of depression, social anxiety disorder, anxiety disorders, seasonal affective disorder, and dysthymia, or mild chronic depression, as well as other conditions.
They aim to correct chemical imbalances of neurotransmitters in the brain that are believed to be responsible for changes in mood and behavior.
Depression Medications (Antidepressants)
These are the most commonly prescribed type of antidepressant.
Serotonin and noradrenaline reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) are used to treat major depression, mood disorders, and possibly but less commonly attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, menopausal symptoms, fibromyalgia, and chronic neuropathic pain.
SNRIs raise levels of serotonin and norepinephrine, two neurotransmitters in the brain that play a key role in stabilizing mood.
Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are the most commonly prescribed antidepressants. They are effective in treating depression, and they have fewer side effects than the other antidepressants.
SSRIs block the reuptake, or absorption, of serotonin in the brain. This makes it easier for the brain cells to receive and send messages, resulting in better and more stable moods.
They are called "selective" because they mainly seem to affect serotonin, and not the other neurotransmitters.
