In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
I watched this in 2016. At the time I was unemployed and hopeless. I drew my dreams. Now (2 years later) I run 2 successful businesses and I have over 10 employees. Thank you @Patti Dobrowolski for this video.
I practiced this method in late November, by February of the following year I had sold almost everything I had and moved across the country to work with a fantastic non profit , making a difference with an under served community. A year later all is still good.
Este video lo ví a principios de 2016. Me impacto. Saludos
Thank you for this wonderful video!!! I drew my dreams and vision in September 2017. Three of the things from my desired reality in my drawing have came true. Thank you for making this video and giving me hope that everything will be okay and my dreams will come true.
Another happy feel good chick talk that doesn't add up to squat. There are way better motivational speeches that actually have better information for listeners. Great energy and a good talk that doesn't add up to squat.
There is nothing more wonderful in this world than to believe a thing into existence. There is no creative energy more powerful in the universe. The constructive use of imagination is GOD in action. The true art of worship and adoration.
Here in 2017 and This is by far the BEST Ted Talk ever because it teaches us to ACT on what we learn and make a CHANGE!. This talk really helped me so much, i honestly got what i drew even though it didn't happen the way I expected it. I credit it to God and through the wisdom in this video .....Thank You So much Patti Dobrowolski and Ted!!!
Yes, it is true and Law of attraction is also said the same thing... whatever dream or vision you have in your life leave with that vision every day of your life and ask yourself that whatever I did the whole day and ask did it contribute to my vision, not...
Patti Dobrowolski that's so cool that you replied! Anyhow, guess who had already bought some pencils, crayons and a drawing pad just today?? So yes, I got this! I'm going to contact you again with all my great changes. Thank you again Patti, you're an amazing role model.
Hi Ruby. It really, truly doesn't matter how your pictures look. For real! As long as you recognize the object you drew, then you're doing great. Drawing really is more effective that just visualizing, as the act of drawing it out helps to solidify it in your mind. Then, you put that drawing somewhere you can see it every day (If you want to keep it private, you can tape it to the side of your nightstand, or keep it in a drawer you open often) so your goals stay at the top of your mind. Constantly reminding yourself what you're working for will help you stay on track.
I've made a goal setting icon guide to help people with their drawings, you can download it for free here: http://pattidobrowolski.com/product/free-icon-guide/
You can also check out what other people are drawing at the link below. Yes, some people are great artists, but plenty of others are using super simple stick figures and icons so don't worry, you've got this!
This was great, I've been looking for "how to set up short term goals" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Conoah Goalify Gotchie - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my brother in law got amazing results with it.

I had intuitively came up with this about 2 years ago. Writing down list don't do much for me but pictures. I am huge at visualizing. I can clearly see with my minds eye. the issue is I can't draw. It looks stupid on paper. Can I draw it down and then get pictures to expand this kinda like a dream board but with purpose?
I love this exercise! I've used it at different times in my life and it really works. The most notable time was making a complete lifestyle change that included moving across the country, downsizing my lifestyle, and getting a completely new/different job. It was definitely scary at times, but having a clear picture to focus on made all the difference. Wishing you all the best with your personal journeys.
Yeah I figured I'd like to talk to you sooner than later this evening and I appreciate all of the other scheme that didn't mean for that to be confusing for everyone involved in the truck waiting for every moment of the day was just getting to feel the best things about being able to have been a blessing for you and all of the other two are in my thoughts and have been working hard to get some more of all this is how I really feel about things in my life and why is that the feeling I get to have to take advantage of being able to be good for you and all of a sudden loss of being in her eyes, what are you doing this weekend so I can get some more of all this is how I can be greatful.
stella skinny jeans are and have been working on the other side of all this is where you are and have been for a while now but I'm going to hold you like this is how I really feel about things we can talk about it in her eyes she wants things to be good for you and why is that the feeling of being able to get back to work I will always love you so mucho mucho and have a few things I want you to know if we can't visit each other for a while but I know that I'm sincere to have been able to get some of the best things we can't have it both ways this is where you have to decide whether or not you are in my life and why is that the feeling I get
I watched this 2 month ago, just graduated but getting a job was proving to be hard. I drew a picture of where I wanted to be twice coz I forgot the road I was to use the first time. Thank you for the amazing work you share. I am currently living by purpose. Thanks to you. Take sometime to draw a picture of your life. You might just end up living it sooner than you think.
Of course it works..anyone who has achieved any goal has visualised it first, this is a good way to visual it. But it has to be personal to YOU and you have to firstly really want it and then believe you can get it. Your goal needs to excite you and produce a happy emotional state when you think about it. If goals haven't worked for you, then your goal isn't true to you.
I.e. Setting a goal that you want 1million by next year, although a cool goal, may be too unrealistic to you,. Deep down you don't believe it and you won't' act on it. But setting a goal for an extra 10k in the bank in a year, can be visualised and acted on easily. That is a nice goal to start with, then the following year 20k, 50k etc. the momentum will increase your belief in your goals and you will get to that million, but it takes time and setting realistic goals to YOU.
I recommend watching anything on goals by Brian Tracy and law of attraction.
Antidepressants are medications that can help relieve symptoms of depression, social anxiety disorder, anxiety disorders, seasonal affective disorder, and dysthymia, or mild chronic depression, as well as other conditions.
They aim to correct chemical imbalances of neurotransmitters in the brain that are believed to be responsible for changes in mood and behavior.
Depression Medications (Antidepressants)
These are the most commonly prescribed type of antidepressant.
Serotonin and noradrenaline reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) are used to treat major depression, mood disorders, and possibly but less commonly attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, menopausal symptoms, fibromyalgia, and chronic neuropathic pain.
SNRIs raise levels of serotonin and norepinephrine, two neurotransmitters in the brain that play a key role in stabilizing mood.
Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are the most commonly prescribed antidepressants. They are effective in treating depression, and they have fewer side effects than the other antidepressants.
SSRIs block the reuptake, or absorption, of serotonin in the brain. This makes it easier for the brain cells to receive and send messages, resulting in better and more stable moods.
They are called "selective" because they mainly seem to affect serotonin, and not the other neurotransmitters.
